This 1983 photograph shows a shophouse, located at no. 24 Upper Cross Street. The three-storey shophouse features glass windows on the upper floors, and barred windows on the ground floor. On the ground floor is also a doorway with a pair or swing doors, or "pintu pagar". The house was the residence of Mr Cheong Tai Woo, president of the Master Printers' Association in 1954.
