This is a view of the swimming pool at the Connell House (background), home of the Seafarers' Club at 1 Anson Road. Governor of Singapore, Sir John Nicoll laid the foundation stone of the pool on 6 July 1954. It was declared open by Sir Charles Lambe, Commander-in-Chief of the Far East Station, on 22 February 1955. Title devised by Library staff.
