This is a close-up of Mr. Sim Kee Boon, Acting Permanent Secretary (1965-1966) and later Permanent Secretary for Economic Development Division at the Ministry of Finance (1967-1968). He became Assistant Secretary (1956), Acting Principal Assistant Secretary (1960) and later Assistant Secretary for Commerce and Industry (1961); Deputy Director (Trade) (1961) and Acting Director for Finance (1962); Acting Permanent Secretary (PS) for National Development (1963-1964); PS (Economic Activities) for Finance (1975); PS for Communications (1975-1984) and Finance (1983-1984); Deputy Chairman of the Tariff Advisory Board (1964); Deputy High Commissioner to Malaysia (Aug 1965-1966); Head of Civil Service (1979-1984); the founding Chairman and Managing Director of the Intraco Limited (Nov 1968-Dec 1974); Board Member of the Development Bank of Singapore Limited (1968-1981) and the Temasek Holdings (2000-2007); Executive Chairman (May 1984-Dec 1999) and later Senior Advisor of the Keppel Corporation Limited (Jan 2000-2003); Member of the Singapore Totalisator Board (1988); Chairman of the Insurance Corporation of Singapore (Aug 1969-1982), National Grain Elevator Limited (1968-1987), World Trade Centre, Singapore (1977), Straits Steamship Land Limited (1984-1996), Far East Levingston Shipbuilding (1984-1992), Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (1984-1999), Singapore Council of Presidential Advisors (2004-2005) and the Changi Airport Advisory Group (2007); and the founding Chairman of the Tanah Merah Country Club.
