This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Mr. Ng Ghit Cheong of Chu Cheong Company Private Limited, President of the Sewing Machine Traders Association in 1987. He was Managing Director (1968-1983) and later Chairman of the Sanyo Industries (Singapore) Private Limited (1987); Vice Chairman of the Hong Wen School Management Committee (1982); and Vice Chairman (1986) and later Honorary Chairman of the Singapore Hin Ann Huay Kuan (1987-1995). He was awarded the Public Service Medal in 1986. Title devised by Library staff.
