Information About

This is the façade of the two-storey zinc-roofed Havelock Community Centre at Havelock Road. The centre was officially declared open by Mr. Low Por Tuck, Parliamentary Secretary for Finance and Member of Parliament for Havelock, on 23 July 1960. It was demolished and the Furama Hotel now stands on the site. The new Havelock Community centre was re-located to Merchant Road and was opened in 1979. Title devised by Library staff.
