This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Mr. Leong Chee Whye, Chairman of the Singapore Tourist Promotion Board (later Singapore Tourism Board, since 1997) from December 1989 to May 1993. He was also Chief Executive Officer of the Trade and Development Board (1984-1985); Managing Director (1986-1990) and later President and CEO of the United Industrial Corporation (Dec 1990-Mac 1992); Managing Director (Jun 1990) and later President and CEO of the Singapore Land Limited (Jan 1991-Mac 1992); and Nominated Member of Parliament (Nov 1990-Aug 1991). He was awarded the NTUC Friend of Labour Award in 1982. Title devised by Library staff.
