This picture depicts the façade of the school hall and four-storey classroom block of Yuqun Primary School at 571, Jurong East Street 24. The school was established in the 1930s as "Joo Koon Public School". It was declared open by Mrs. Yu-Foo Yee Shoon, Member of Parliament for Yuhua, on 5 September 1986. In January 2002, it merged with Yuhua Primary School (formerly Joo Hwa Public School, established in 1930s) to form the new Yuhua Primary School. The old premises of Yuqun Primary School became temporary holding site to Boon Lay Primary School (Jan 2004-Dec 2006) and Dazhong Primary School (Jan 2010-Dec 2011). Past principals of Yuqun Primary School include Mrs. Tay-Chiu Sook Kiat (1988); Mr. Teo Kun Fung (1994-Dec 1998); and Mrs. Chua Moon Soon (Dec 1998-). Title devised by Library staff.
