This is a photograph of a neat rows of rubber trees lining the plantation of Bukit Sembawang Rubber Company in Hup Choon Kek area. The plantation land, located between Upper Thomson Road and Yio Chu Kang Road, was leased from the descendant of Tan Tye (陈泰), a successful timber merchant and pineapple packer in the 1800s.
