This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Mr. Ong Tiang Wee (王长辉), President of Oleh Oleh Party (1962-1963). He was a barrister and partner of the law firm, Laycock and Ong at Malacca Street (1941-1986); Member of Singapore Municipal Commission (1934-1948); President of Singapore Chinese Football Association (1931-1941) and Anglo-Chinese School Old Boys' Association (1946-1947); President of Straits Chinese British Association and later The Peranakan Association, Singapore (1948-1992); and Member of Board of Directors of Overseas Assurance Corporation Limited or OAC (1937-1996). His father, Mr. Ong Boon Tat, was a prominent Peranakan businessman and one of the founding Directors of the OAC. Title devised by Library staff.
