This photograph depicts workers at Ellard Limited (manufacturer of brilliantine, perfume and other hair care products) preparing labels for perfume bottles at 4-6, Jalan Kilang in Redhill Industrial Estate. Ellard Limited officially opened its factory on Jalan Kilang in July 1963. Established in 1962, it had operated at temporary premises on MacTaggart Road, off MacPherson Road.
