This photograph shows one of the carvings on the walls of the tomb complex of prominent Straits-born Peranakan business owner Ong Sam Leong (王三龙) and his wife Yeo Hean Neo (杨贤娘) at Bukit Brown Cemetery. It depicts a scene from the twenty-four stories of filial piety (二十四孝) from the Yuan Dynasty where Yu Qian Lou is sampling the contents of his sick father's chamber pot so that he might diagnose his illness.
