This is a 1973 photograph showing the three-storey David Elias Building at Middle Road (from opposite Middle Road Hospital towards the southeast and Prinsep Street). The neo-classical building has a high, pitched roof and the Star of David at the top of its facade. There are small balconies on the second and third floors. At the street level, arches between pillars on the front and sides of the building create a covered walkway. Title devised by Library staff.
