This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Mr. Lee Kuan Yew (李光耀) in court robe and wig. He is the first Prime Minister of Singapore from 1959 to 1990, and later Senior Minister from 1990 onwards. In 2004, he assumes a new cabinet position as Minister Mentor of Singapore. Mr. Lee was Secretary (1954-1956) and later Secretary-General of the People's Action Party’s (PAP) Central Executive Committee (1957-1991); and PAP Member of Parliament for Tanjong Pagar (1955-1991) and Tanjong Pagar Group Representation Constituency (1991-to date).
