Information About

This photographs shows some giant joss sticks with intricate designs at an open field during the Nine Emperor Gods festival held at Jing Shui Gang Dou Mu Gong Feng Shan Si (汫水港斗母宫鳳山寺) or Kew Ong Yah Hong San See temple at Yishun Ring Road. Three giant joss sticks in the foreground are flanked by two large red candles. Another joss stick can be seen at the back. The festival is a nine-day Taoist celebration beginning on the first day to the ninth day of the ninth lunar month of the Chinese calendar. Description by Library staff.
