This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Dr. Tan Wee Kiat, Chief Executive Officer of National Parks Board (NParks) from 1996 to 2006. He served as Director of the Singapore Botanic Gardens (1988-1989) and founding member and Executive Director of the Singapore Environment Council (1990-1993). Dr. Tan was appointed Advisor to the Board and Project Director for "Gardens by the Bay" project at Marina Bay after his retirement from NParks in 2006. He received the Public Administration Medal (Gold) in 2003 and the Medal for Meritorious Service in 2007. Title devised by Library staff.
