This is a photograph of Mr. Lee Kuan Yew (left), Singapore's Prime Minister from 1959 to 1990, presenting the "Order of Temasek" to President Nasser of Eygpt (right) in Cairo. Prime Minister Lee led a 12-member Malaysian Goodwill Mission to 17 African states to explain Malaysia's position in the dispute with Indonesia. They left Singapore on 21 January and returned on 27 February 1964. Title devised by Library staff.
