This picture depicts the façade of Kheng Cheng School （擎青学校）on Derbyshire Road. The school was founded by Madam Lim Peng Tuan in 1927 near Shrewberry Road. It was relocated to 219, Moulmein Road in 1931, Derbyshire Road in 1938, and Lorong 3 Toa Payoh in 1972. The new premises was declared open by Mr. Eric Cheong Yuen Chee, People's Action Party Member of Parliament for Toa Payoh, in August 1972. A new school building was built on the same site, and was declared open by Mr. Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Minister for Education, on 19 November 2005. Past principals include Mrs. Jenny Yeo Bee Geok (1996-1997); Madam Ow Suek Yin (区雪英, 1998-2005); Mrs. Lay See Neufeld nee Lee Lay See (李丽丝, Dec 2006 to date). Title devised by Library staff.
