This is a 1982 photograph depicting Meyer Road, towards the east (Ambassador Hotel on the left). It shows a tree-lined road with pavements on either side. Meyer Road is named after Sir Reuben Manasseh Meyer, the Jewish businessman who built the Chesed-El Synagogue. Title devised by Library staff.
