This is a photograph of Venerable Seck Hong Choon (宏船法师), seating, in monk robes with rosary beads. He was Chief Abbot of Kong Meng San Phor Kark See Monastery (Bright Hill Temple) from 1947 to 1990. He was also President of Inter-Religious Organisation (1949, 1987); Chairman (1964) and later President of Singapore Buddhist Federation (1974-1982); the first President of Singapore Buddhist Free Clinic and Singapore Buddhist Sangha Organisation (1966-1971); and Chairman of Manjusri Secondary School Management Committee (1984).
