This is a 1983 photograph depicting a shophouse at no. 51 Neil Road, opposite Kreta Ayer Road. The three-storey shophouse has a façade decorated with pilasters and cornices. There are three French windows on each of the upper floors, with wooden louvred shutters. There is a doorway on the ground floor, flanked by two windows with security bars. This shophouse is part of the rows of shophouses in the Tanjong Pagar area of Neil Road which have been conserved. Title devised by Library staff.
