This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Mr. Thirugnana Sampanthar Sinnathuray or affectionately known as Sam, the first non-European President of the Singapore Cricket Club from 1976 to 1978. He was Deputy Registrar (1960-1963) and later Registrar (1963) of the Supreme Court, Judge of the High Court of Singapore (1978-1997) and Chairman of the Third (2005-2008) and Fourth Singapore Note And Coin Advisory Committee in the Board of Commissioners of Currency Singapore (2008-2011).
