Information About

To help these small retailers survive in an increasingly competitive environment, the Ministry of Trade and Industry announced the Retail Sector Development Plan in March 1992. This comprehensive Plan includes a series of action plans for the restructuring of the retail sector. This book brings together a collection of papers presented at two seminars, namely The Changing Face of Retail Development and Planning in Singapore and The Future of SME Retailers in HDB New Towns organised by the School of Building and Estate Management in 1992. It examines changes in retail development and policies in Singapore and evaluate the impact of these on the future of retailing in the HDB towns. It provides valuable information to the small and medium-sized retailers and other professionals involved in the restructuring of the retail sector.
