A special investiture of national awards were held on 26th April 1986 at the Singapore Conference Hall, in appreciation of the 93 persons, out of which 43 are expatriates from MRTC & MRT contractors, involved in the rescue operations during the collapse of the Hotel New World on 15th March 1986.
