This book is published in conjunction with an exhibition (26 March to 5 April 1954) of photographs on architecture in Singapore, jointly sponsored by Singapore Art Society and Institute of Architects of Malaya. It contains notes about the 180 photographs illustrating the history and development of architectural styles of the buildings in the settlement over the last 125 years.
