This report on Singapore is one in a series of studies commissioned by the Asian Mass Communication Research and Information Centre (AMIC), on the role of media in the electoral process in Asian countries. The aim of this report is to describe the role of media in the 1991 Singapore election, and to provide an empirical base for comparison with future Singapore elections, and other elections in the broader Asian and global context.
