"Interreligious relations" contains occasional papers of the "Studies in Inter-Religious Relations in Plural Societies Programme" offered by the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies at Nanyang Technological University. This issue 8 (September 2019) deals with laïcité, the French version of secularism, and demonstrates how its multiple understandings contributed to a rise in Islamophobia. The analysis is done against the context of the War on Terror after 9/11.
