The Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act (Cap 30B, 2006 Rev Ed) (“SOPA”) was introduced to ease cash-flow demands for contractors and sub-contractors amidst a slowdown in the construction industry. This publication contains recommendations after a review of the adjudication process at various stages as well as a consideration of possible insolvency issues.
