This book is not an historical document. The stories recollected herein were told by the very people who were themselves a part of the action — the movers and shakers of the medical world of that time, it may be — and whose accounts must, necessarily, be powerfully subjective. The story of the Alumni Association (comprising the medical, dental and pharmacy graduates) goes back to the founding of the medical school and its guild of graduates.
