Ch. XXXIII. Treats of the towns, cities, country, and customs of Bengal, particularly on the near the famous Ganges, with some pictorial accounts, ancient and modern, of Fort William -- ch. XXXIV. Is a continuation of the description of Bengal – ch. XXXV. Gives an account of Xatigam, and the Kingdom of Araekan, some pictorial observations on Sultan Sujah’s misfortunes there, and the miseries that country fell under by civil wars -- ch. XXXVI. Gives an account of the famous Kingdom of Pegu its situation and product, with its laws, customs, and religion, and some pictorial accounts of their temples and Gods, of occurences and revolutions in the State, and how it became a Province of the Kingdom Burma – ch. XXXVII. Gives an account of the Pegu clergy their charity, &c. their temples, and the reason why they are so numerous, and their trials by ordeal, the fertility of the country, and the ceremony in burning the corps of an high Prieft.
