Gives an account of the famous Kingdom of Pegu its situation and product, with its laws, customs, and religion, and some pictorial accounts of their temples and Gods, of occurences and revolutions in the State, and how it became a Province of the Kingdom Burma – ch. Gives an account of the Pegu clergy their charity, &c. their temples, and the reason why they are so numerous, and their trials by ordeal, the fertility of the country, and the ceremony in burning the corps of an high Prieft.
