This volume contains lectures on specific topics by invited speakers presented at the Workshop on "Nuclear Equation of State", organised by the Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar, India. It was held at Puri, from 4 - 14 January 1994. The topic of Nuclear Equation of State is of fundamental interest as it plays a pivotal role in our understanding of stellar evolution and heavy-ion collisions processes, currendy pursued with great vigour in the leading laboratories in the world. It presents a comprehensive account of the present status of our understanding of the subject and its application to many-fold problems in astrophysics, heavy-ion collisions and phase transitions in the hadronic matter. It will be quite useful to beginners as well as to specialists in this field.
