The Singapore Chapter of the Coimbatore Institute of Technology Alumni Association (CITAA-SG) was founded on 11 August 2019, with Irai Mathialagan as the first president-in-charge. Its aim is to foster a strong sense of community among its members and contribute to society through philanthropic support.

The CITAA Singapore Chapter has approximately 120 members, comprising graduates from the parent institution, the Coimbatore Institute of Technology (CIT). CIT was established in 1956 in Coimbatore, India, by the V Rangaswamy Naidu Educational Trust, to provide tertiary education in science, engineering, and technology.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the association made notable contributions to the local community, including sponsoring lunch for foreign workers on Deepavali day and providing dinner for inmates of the Sri Narayana Mission Nursing Home.
