A big man, a simple life

Recollection

Ho Cheng Hoon

Back in the late 90s, I had one occasion to be at No. 38 Oxley Road to perform a work task. What I saw left an indelible mark. Such a big man, and his house (living room, bedroom) was so simply furnished that it put many many of us to shame. He could have had all the things in the world money can buy; yet he lived so very simply. Indeed, a big man, a simple life. My deepest respect to you, Mr Lee Kuan Yew.
