Childhood comics, 1970s

Recollection
Before the manga craze, there were these black-and-white kungfu comics (only the cover was in colour) from Hongkong. Growing up in the 70s, these comics were very popular among the Chinese-educated kids. I remembered there were comic stalls that rented these comics out for reading at the stall. Usually small stools were provided for 'comfort'. If memory serves me right, each comic cost 10 cents to rent. Back then, I did not mind going to the barber's only because the barber shop stocked tons of these comics. Unfortunately, many of these comics were either very violent, or contain adult scenes. They were subsequently banned for some time until they made a comeback, this time in colour, some years later.
