P. Jeya Putra - Transcript of 8 May 2018 interview by Chan Kim Yin There was a footpath & Chinese Kampong from Chestnut Ave to Bukit Panjang (now Almond estate). On the left side of Chestnut Avenue leading all the way on a footpath to Bukit Panjang was a chinese kampong. It was a scary experience going through that footpath because you would be attacked by dogs and sometimes chased by villagers. [comment: This "footpath" could be Lorong Kuan Kong which is now Almond Ave as mentioned by S. Rajamanickam in a separate interview]
