Costumes through time, Singapore

About the Book

This publication serves as a permanent record of the ‘Costumes Through Time’ exhibition held during Heritage Day 1993 which is an annual event organised by the National Heritage Board. This exhibition-cum-publication project is undertaken by the National Heritage Board jointly with the Fashion Designers Society. The publication provides a window to Singapore's multi-ethnic heritage through the costumes, and a portrayal of the rich and colourful mix of attires worn through the ages. It also presents a facet of Singapore’s historical background and social lifestyles as manifested through fashions of yester-years.
