For you who feel like you have come home each time you step into the library and want to make our libraries a happy place for others too. Please remember to proceed to Bukit Panjang Library Children's Zone first to sign-in.

[IMPORTANT] For 9am to 12pm, please use the BACK DOOR - Look out for COSLAB at Level 4 and proceed into the walkway. Enter through the NLB staff labelled door to the Library Staff Office.

[REMINDER] Please note that all volunteering hours for a current month will be credited by the first week of next month. Thank you for your patience.

Get involved by:

1) Shelving to ensure that books are correctly placed for easy location AND/OR;

2) Shelf-reading to ensure books are correctly shelved AND/OR;

3) Helping patrons navigate our library services (how to use our book borrowing machines, our NLB Mobile app, registering for their myLibrary ID, and our eResources).

Commitment from you:

No minimum commitment required. Register your preferred timeslot.

Timeslots are approved and closed 3 - 5 working days in advance. If the slot you would like to volunteer is closed, we accept walk-in volunteers at Bukit Panjang Library following the same timings of 9am-12pm, 12pm-3pm, 3pm-6pm or 6pm-9pm.

Other requirements:

No other requirements. We welcome everyone who is keen.

Attire code: Smart casual (no shorts/short skirts or short bermudas), appropriate attire with covered footwear (no sandals or slippers).
