6. Your Account
If you use this site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer, and you agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password.This site collects some personally identifiable information, such as your name, address or gender. This information is only displayed on the site for approved volunteers at your own service records page, and your identity is protected and the onus is on you to disclose any relevant personal details. Information you provide when completing the Volunteer Application form will only be used for generating a list of potential volunteer opportunities and for searches made by NLB to match your volunteering interests to our volunteering opportunities. Selection is based on your area of volunteering interest, your preferred library or geographical area, and the time commitment you are prepared to make. Any personal information collected by this site will not be sold or divulged to any third party without your permission.
7. Reviews, Comments, Communications and Other Content
Volunteers may post reviews, comments, and other content; send e-mail and other communications; and submit suggestions, ideas, comments, questions, or other information, so long as the content is not illegal, obscene, threatening, defamatory, invasive of privacy, infringing of intellectual property rights, or otherwise injurious to third parties or objectionable and does not consist of or contain software viruses, political campaigning, commercial solicitation, chain letters, mass mailings, or any form of "spam." You may not use a false e-mail address, impersonate any person or entity, or otherwise mislead as to the origin of a card or other content. NLB reserves the right (but not the obligation) to remove or edit such content, but does not regularly review posted content.
If you do post content or submit material, and unless we indicate otherwise, you grant NLB and its affiliates a nonexclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sub-licensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content throughout the world in any media. You grant NLB and its affiliates and sub-licensees the right to use the name that you submit in connection with such content, if they choose. 8. Governing Law
By accessing this website, you agree that Singapore law, including without limitation the provisions of the Singapore Evidence Act (Chapter 97) and the Electronic Transactions Act (No 25. of 1998), shall govern such access as well as the above terms and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
Any dispute relating in any way to your visit to NLB FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARY PORTAL shall be submitted to confidential arbitration in Singapore, except that, to the extent you have in any manner violated or threatened to violate NLB's intellectual property rights, NLB may seek injunctive or other appropriate relief in any state and you consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in such courts. Arbitration under this agreement shall be conducted under the rules then prevailing of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre. The arbitrator's award shall be binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, no arbitration under this Agreement shall be joined to an arbitration involving any other party subject to this Agreement, whether through class arbitration proceedings or otherwise.
10. Site Policies, Membership, Modification, and Severability

If any of these conditions shall be deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.
