Whether you are a student, retired, or simply looking to be surrounded by the Arts Collection, this is a wonderful opportunity to share your time and skills. As a volunteer, you will contribute to the daily functions of the library by helping us organise collections, assisting with Audiovisual (AV) testing and providing support for patrons and new visitors.
No prior experience is required – just a love for the arts and a willingness to learn!

Get involved by:
Session will involve training for the following:
- Shelving – ensure that the collection is in the correct location
- Library Service Guide – guide patrons on the available self-services such as borrowing AV materials and booking of facility rooms, support with collection and facility rooms wayfinding and navigation
- AV Testing – verify that AV materials are in good working condition
- Booklist Locator – assist library staff in locating books based on a list for collection maintenance

We welcome keen volunteers,18 years old and above.
*Central Arts Library does not have a children’s section
Attire code:
Smart casual (no skirts, no short dresses, no shorts or Bermudas)
Covered footwear (no sandals and slippers)
Valuables must be with you at all times as there are no lockers provided.
