For you who want to evoke palpable excitement and bring children on a magical reading adventure.
Get involved by:
1. Film Chinese digital storytelling videos suitable for children aged 4 to 8. You will be the storyteller in the video. Each video should not exceed 7 minutes. Stories are written by Singapore authors/ writers and are available for borrowing as books or ebooks in NLB's Chinese collection.
2. Record your storytelling video based on your selected Chinese children book from a given list of titles. The video will be shared on NLB's Chinese Library Services Facebook Group (go.gov.sg/chinese-library-services) on the first or third Friday per month.
Commitment from you:
1. Film at least 3 Chinese storytelling videos in a year.
2. Browse through NLB's Chinese Library Services Facebook Group (go.gov.sg/chinese-library-services) to view past storytelling videos by other volunteers as a reference to determine your preferred storytelling method and style.
Other requirements:
1. Knowledge of Chinese children’s literature, especially works by local authors.
2. Good ability in oral communications and public speaking skills.
3. Good knowledge of video recording and editing.
