About the Programme
Wait a minute! Before you toss your fruit peels and skins into the bin, did you know that you can make an organic & eco-friendly cleaning solution with all that fruit "waste"?
Citrus fruits contain enzymes that can help break down dirt and grime. Using citrus fruit peels (e.g. from oranges, lemons, limes), we can make our own organic enzyme cleaners. These enzyme cleaners can be used to clean surfaces at home, and can even partially replace chemical detergents as a more eco-friendly cleaning solution!
While materials will be provided for this workshop, participants are highly encouraged to bring the following:
- 500ml container with a lid (eg. plastic containers for festive cookies)
- 90-100g of citrus fruit peels (eg. orange peels or lemon peels)
Please note:
Do store your collected citrus fruit peels in the freezer before the workshop. This is to prevent mould from growing on them.
Latecomers may be denied entry to this workshop. Your slot may be given to others if you are more than 10 minutes late.
