The Singapore International Original Comic Artists Forum – 2025 Singapore China Forum” aims to promote collaboration among original comic artists from Singapore and China, bridging the cultural gap through comics, showcasing the unique comic characteristics and narrative styles of both countries, and creating a dynamic platform for face-to-face dialogue, exchange, and collaboration, while also introducing potential original comic artists and businesses from both countries.

“新加坡国际原创漫画家论坛 -2025新中研讨会”，旨在促进新加坡和中国原创漫画家的合作，透过漫画架起新中文化桥梁，展示两国的漫画特色与叙事风格，打造一个可以面对面对话、交流与协作的动态平台，并认识两国有潜质的原创漫画作者及商家。

The purpose of this seminar is to help the Singaporean comics industry understand the current state and development of the comics market in both Singapore and China. Furthermore, through presentations by comics professionals, the seminar aims to explore the impact of new technologies (AI) on the application and development of the entire comics industry, both now and in the future.

这个座谈会的目的是要让新加坡的漫画界了解本地和中国目前漫画市场和发展情况。
并且通过漫画专业人士的讲述新科技(AI) 对于现在至将来对于整个漫画行业的运用与发展影响。

Session Flow

1. The current state and future prospects of comics in Singapore and China (1-hour including Q&A segment)
2. The integration of New Technology (AI) and Comics: Advancing into the Future (1-hour including Q&A segment)

The discussion sessions for the topics are consecutive and the entire discussion will last 2 hours.

About the Speakers

Wee Tian Beng – The artist who rewrites the history of Singapore Comics

Wee Tian Beng is the first Singaporean comic artist to break into the international comics market, with over 6 million physical copies sold worldwide.

Recently, his comics have been translated into 11 languages across Asia and Europe. He has created over 220 comic volumes, reaching 40 countries on six continents through physical and digital copies.

He has created comics series of “The Adventures of Wisely”, “The Return of Condor Heroes”, “The Celestial Zone” (a total of 5 series), and “Neo Era”, etc.

Tian Beng received the Asian Comic Prestigious Award at the International Comic Artists Conference in Seoul, South Korea. He also received an Award of Creative Excellence ~ Outstanding Contribution to the Singapore Comic Industry from ACAS.

In 2001, he established TCZ Studio Pte Ltd (The Creative Zone Studio).

In 2007, he founded the Comics Society (Singapore).

黃展鳴 – 一位改写了新加坡漫画历史的漫画家

展鳴是新加坡第一位迈向国际市场也是唯一销售量达数百万本的漫画家。他已制作超过220本漫畫集, 出版, 授权, 翻译成欧亚十一种文字/语言 。目前他的实体与数码漫画版已销售到 6大洲，40多个国家与区域。这在新加坡漫画界上是个奇迹。他的作品有改篇的《衛斯理傳奇》，《神雕俠侶》和自创的《天界無限》五个系列，《Neo Era》等。

展鳴在韩国首尔举行的“亚洲漫画家高峰会议”*，获颁“漫画审查委员会特別獎”。（*现已改为 “世界漫画家大会”）

另外，他也在新加坡书展荣获了由ACAS颁发的— 对新加坡漫画业的杰出贡献 -- 卓越创意奖。 

2001年, 他成立了TCZ制作社。

2007年, 他成立了新加坡漫畫协会。
