Mindfulness in Photography: Using Photography to Engage in Conversations with Yourself is a workshop for participants to explore mindfulness through image-making. Participants learn to slow down, observe with intention, and connect with their thoughts and emotions through guided photography activities. The session introduces mindful seeing — using the act of taking photographs to become more present, grounded, and aware of the world around them.
Through abstract visual storytelling and personal reflection exercises, participants discover new ways to express their inner experiences without words. Participants’ works may be featured in an upcoming exhibition organised in collaboration with the National Library Board, offering an opportunity to showcase their creative expressions to the wider community.
This workshop is suitable for adults of all backgrounds and requires no prior photography experience. Please bring along a digital camera of any form (e.g., mobile phone, DSLR, mirrorless camera).
