Our HistoryAng Mo Kio Public Library was officially opened on 17 August 1985 by Mr Yeo Toon Chai, Member of Parliament for Ang Mo Kio Constituency. A prominent, stand-alone landmark in the centre of Ang Mo Kio since 1985, we closed in March 2002 for upgrading and reopened on 26 January 2003.Interesting Facts
We are within walking distance from many food outlets, cinema, and heartland shopping at Ang Mo Kio Hub.
The name Ang Mo Kio - might have been inspired by the Hokkien term for tomatoes. Our meeting room on Level 2 is thus officially named “Tomato Room”.
