Facts about Cheng San Public Library
Our History
Cheng San Public Library was officially opened on 6 March 1997 by Mr Zainul Abidin Rasheed, then Member of Parliament for Cheng San GRC (Punggol East). We occupy an area of 1,467 square metres within the Hougang Mall. We serve the residents in the Northeast areas of Upper Paya Lebar, Hougang, Sengkang and Serangoon. In 2013, we had a comprehensive upgrading that gave us a new look and increased our seating capacity.
Interesting Facts
Our artistic spaces feature art works and help to promote art appreciation to the community. Our library is also designed to give you the feel of an art gallery. Our walls and ceilings were intended to create a dynamic spatial experience for you.
