这作品《神话与传说》取材于虎豹别墅的四则中国古代神话，分别以四种不同的吹管乐器演奏， 分为四段：1) 开天辟地 ; 2) 夸父追日 ; 3) 天狗食月 ; 4) 精卫填海. 第二段《夸父追日》里，大笛与乐队采用了交错的节奏，表现夸父自傲鲁莽的个性，音乐略带诙谐的意味。 笛子 : 林信友.
