这作品《神话与传说》取材于虎豹别墅的四则中国古代神话，分别以四种不同的吹管乐器演奏， 分为四段：1) 开天辟地 ; 2) 夸父追日 ; 3) 天狗食月 ; 4) 精卫填海. 第一段《开天辟地》以排箫来表现混沌初开、天地之始的玄妙景象以及盘古开天辟地的壮举。 笛子 : 林信友.
