My parents owned a small provision shop. I saw bottles of fizzy drinks in crates. Sweets in glass bottles / containers. Biscuits in aluminium tins. I played with spiders in matchboxes. I managed to find spiders in between leaves. I fed dogs with leftover food. Puppies running away in 'attap' houses. My father was bitten once by a scorpion. I was afraid of going to the toilet because it was a hole deep down where I can see poo in it through a rectangular 'poo hole'. I was afraid I will fall through and land in a pool of faeces. Worst, the sides were infested with maggot and cockroaches. Gross!!!
