Plans for Sentosa Monorail Announced

In June 1979, plans for the Sentosa monorail were announced. The monorail was to replace double-decker buses and enhance connectivity around the island. It brought visitors on a 30-minute loop, starting at the Ferry Terminal station, which had a picturesque view from an elevated vantage point. On 15 March 2005, the Sentosa monorail made its final trip before making way for the current Sentosa Express rail system. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Sources: National Heritage Board.
