Abstract
Buddha Mountain is about a group of young people who share a house, all trying to find love in their desperate and chaotic lives. In Chengdu, China, a retired female opera singer named Master Chang takes in a trio of young tenants into her boarding home. The tenants include a rock singer and a college student who has run away from home. The trio make a trip to countryside and visit an abandoned and badly damaged Guan Yin Buddha Temple located on the hill. They decide to rebuild the temple together as they all struggle to build their own happiness. , 《观音山》是一部探讨青春成长、生命归宿、和爱情条件的电影. 摄于中国四川成都, 故事围绕着一位退休过气的京剧演员和三个离家闯天下的少年展开. 四位主人公阴差阳错的聚在一起, 展开了一段情感故事. 丁波(陈柏霖饰)、南风(范冰冰饰)和肥皂(肥龙饰)三位是好朋友. 他们有着相似的经历 -- 都因落榜或拒绝参加高考没上大学而和自己父母剑拔弩张. 他们渴望摆脫父母的束缚, 开始自食其力的独立生活. 他们因为租住房子结识了痛苦中的退休演员房东常越琴(张艾嘉饰). 四个人之间的故事, 随着租房的相遇逐渐展开了. 三个孩子发现了常越琴以往生活中的一些秘密, 如催化剂一般, 引发了四人之间的关系发生了巨变, 从排斥冲突到彼此理解、互相关爱, 从而让两代人彼此真正的接受了对方, 每个人的命运也随之发生了改变.
