Abstract
"Pak Pandir is a wealthy widower who raises four sons using a strict disciplinary approach. He forbids them to mix with women whom he regards as the root of all evil. Behind their father's back, the brothers compete against each other to win the heart of Busu, a pretty girl whose father is desperate to marry her off to the rich and wealthy people in the village, including Pak Pandir. The restoration of Pak Pandir Modern was made possible using the sole-surviving 35mm and 16mm release prints from the Asian Film Archive: Cathay-Keris Malay Classics Collection.
